First Contact

Step 107 of 248 in the playthrough

Professor Drake heads back to Paradiso to meet with the security chief to discuss his call for help and ends up helping a 200-year-old colony ship in orbit.

The quest begins by receiving a broadcast the first time in orbit around Porrima II and ends when you resolve the conflict with Paradiso in one of three ways:

  1. Indentured Servitude
  2. Grav Drive Upgrade
  3. Destroy the ship

Professor Drake took the indentured servitude route because the grav drive issue is buggy ("location of the ECS Constant" activity that will eventually fail to resolve) and because blowing up the ship just seems a bit too evil for my taste.
